REMA Hospital admits on average 15 premature babies for neonatal treatment each month. The babies are transferred from hospitals in eastern Burundi. In some cases, two premature babies have had to share one incubator. The Hospital currently has only two incubators in working order! Save the lives of these delicate infants by donating 5 incubators and 2 resuscitation tables.
Other ways of helping
Volunteer work
Burundi is desperately short of specialized physicians. Maison Shalom’s REMA Hospital is grateful for the support it has received for several years now from doctors and nurses from Luxembourg.
The doctors at REMA hospital appreciate the support of doctors for specialized surgery, training and internships. We gratefully welcome all doctors and other health professionals for internships or short support periods.
For further information, please see Marguerite Barankitse’s appeal: REMA hospital needs doctors!
