Reunited with the family in Rwanda

The two young people, Josélyne U. and Jean-Claude N. are brother and sister. They lost their parents during the genocide in Rwanda in 1994. They were then just toddlers, two and one years old. Brother and sister were taken in by their maternal grandmother who provided for them a loving home. Nevertheless, Josélyne left Rwanda to go to Ngozi Province in Burundi to try and make a living by herself. She was hired as a nanny in a family where her little brother joined her. In the meantime, Josélyne was fired by her employer and life became unbearable.
