Music takes Maison Shalom’s message into the world

On Sunday, 22 April the musicians of Peace & Love flew to Brussels in order to spread Message Shalom’s message through their music. 

The two musicians, Jean Bosco NIGANZE and  Vianney NZIGAMASABO, as well as the singer Riziki, were invited by Radio Télévision Belge Francophone, RTBF. They will give a concert to promote the works of Maison Shalom and their country. Jean Bosco and Vianney had arrived at Shalom House from the School of the Blind in Gitega in 1994. Thanks to Maison Shalom, they are today autonomous and able to live from their music.

Their stay in Belgium is a promotion not only of their music but also of the work of Maison Shalom. They are an eloquent testimony to the way Maison Shalom cares for children in difficulty, helps them grow and become truly independent to the point where they become its ambassadors even outside the country. A big thank you to the Singer John Chris who has facilitated the entire process from the start until the departure of the musicians. 

Medicines and laboratory needs

More than 80% of the patients treated at Rema Hospital are without means to pay for services.  Some are pregnant women who have a right to the national governmental programme of free treatment, along with mothers having a child or children under the age of five.
