At Rema hospital, since the beginning of the year, the Canadian orthopedic surgeon Danièle and Christopher have just made a mission of five periods of two weeks each and have already made 123 orthopeadic operations successfully. Children, women and men find the use of their members, others benefit from prostheses and care which are not accessible anywhere else in Burundi. The patients would for the greater part be transferred abroad. The standard of living of the burundian population is very low to allow to be treated abroad and consequently the majority of the sick treaties had no more hope to see being cured one day. Besides the surgical operations , the staff of the hospital benefited from two trainings(post-operative Infections and the Ponsetti method) and 14 " Fart coaches " were offered by " Personal Energy Transport " to the children and persons living with a physical handicap.
